The top 10 RICHEST European Countries by GDP

Just because a European country has a high GDP (Gross domestic product) doesn't automatically mean everybody in that country is wealthier than people in countries with a lower GDP. Having travelled the world for over 4 years now, I can assure you that there are exceptions in every country. Don't confuse money with happiness. Anyways, here are the top 10 richest European countries by GDP:

10: Poland - $473.501 (billion)

I have not yet been to Poland myself, however here is an interesting video about the 10th richest European country.

9: Sweden $512.748 (billion)

I was fortunate enough to experience this amazing country for the first time a few months ago and I actually really enjoyed my stay in Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. Here's a vlog about my stay:

8: Switzerland $651.770 (billion)

Switzerland, despite being a relatively small country, managed to have a GDP of over $650 (billion). Here is a video of ten things you might not know about this small, but interesting European country:

7: Netherlands $769.930 (billion)

The Netherlands is definitely worth a visit and I'm not talking about the red-light district or smoking weed. We've written a guide on how you can spend a day in Amsterdam.

6: Spain $1,252.163 (billion)

Spain is another beautiful country and a great destination if you're after summer, sunshine and having a good time. This doesn't have to cost much, by the way. Here is a guide on how you can stay in Spain without paying for accommodation: Sunshine and Luxury: how to live in Spain for FREE

5: Russia $1,267.754 (billion)

Russia is a big country so I expected it to be higher up the list to be honest. Unfortunately I have not yet visited this country, so here is a video with incredible facts:

4: Italy $1,852.499 (billion)

Italy is the fourth richest European country and honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Again, it doesn't have to be expensive, here are 10 FREE things you can do in Rome

3: France $2,488.284 (billion)

France made it into the top three and it is not only one of the richest, but also one of the most beautiful countries in Europe. Paris is definitely worth a visit, you just need to know these 10 things before you visit Paris

2: United Kingdom $2,649.893 (billion)

The UK made it to number two and while some say it is not as beautiful as France or Italy, there are certain things that the UK does better than any other country.

1: Germany $3,494.898 (billion)

Germany is, perhaps unsurprisingly, at the top of the list of the richest European countries based on GDP. Here is a video of Germanys top ten destinations:
