Katharine Hepburn was a major American actress, yet there was a time when she was actually labelled "box office poison". But as the above quote points out, you have to want the things you get given after you get them, and not simply give up on them. This goes for pretty much anything in life, but I think this is especially true for travel. If you are going to a new country there is no way of knowing whether you will like that particular country or not. We mostly judge this by the experiences we make once we arrive and spend a small amount of time in that country, and just one negative experience can ruin the whole trip for some. The next time something negative happens to you on a trip, try and look at the bigger picture and not judge too quickly. There are always ways to turn a bad situation into a good one.
